Faith Formation - Our Lady of Victory School

Catholic Identity

At Our Lady of Victory every day and in so many ways, we embody our mission and commitment to a Catholic learning environment that promotes scholarly excellence and fosters moral and spiritual growth. OLV students participate in a wide variety of faith based offerings and activities that focus on and reinforce Gospel values.

OLV’s Catholic identity means that students are offered fait-based lessons in daily religion classes, weekly school Masses, daily morning assemblies in the church that include scripture readings and discussion of their messages, as well as students’ prayer offers and sacramental preparation and celebrations. Students also participate in a program called Living in Faith, Hope and Love which forms the basis of the anti-bullying program, focusing on Gospel values and faith-based morals.
OLV also offers a variety of faith-based activities and retreats that students are encouraged to attend, including:

  • Advent and Lent family retreats
  • Vacation Bible School
  • Catholic Schools Week
  • Archdiocesan Youth Rally
  • Mass for Life. A vocations mass where students witness those called to spiritual life.
  • Overnight retreats in preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation.

Service mission trips to Camden, New Jersey, where student spend three days helping the Oblates of St Francis de Sales in their ministry to the homeless population by serving at De Sales Service Works.  For more information, click here
