Fundraising

Gala from balcony

Education at any level is expensive. Unfortunately, the income generated from tuition is not enough to cover the full expense of educating our children at OLV, nor does it cover the many improvements in the academic environment we strive to implement each year. Fundraising is a critical component of fulfilling Our Lady of Victory School's mission. To help us meet our goals, OLV School instituted a mandatory fundraising requirement for all OLV School families.

Each family is required to make a monetary commitment of $600 per year in fundraising for the school. The commitment can be fulfilled through a variety of methods, including solicitations of donations, participation in fundraising activities, and direct monetary contributions to the OLV Development Fund. If this is not possible for a particular family, then part of this fundraising can be achieved through a time commitment to serving in particular fundraising activities. Each of hour of service is valued at $20 making the total monetary commitment for each family of $600 per year.

This policy along with additional information on the overall goal and purpose of our annual fundraising campaign can be found in our OLV School Handbook and are outlined during Back to School Night in the Fall.

In order to facilitate the success of OLV's fundraising activities, the school has implemented the following policy:

The OLV Fundraising Committment can be met by the following.

We invite you to participate in these events the next time they take place! This is an excellent way to support our dedicated staff and help build for the future. Together, our entire OLV community can work together to increase the financial resources for expanded educational opportunities, to provide enhanced facilities for our children, and to prepare for future generations.

Fall Gala

OLV is a diverse community with a strong commitment to academic excellence, civic responsibility and moral integrity. We have been educating students from across the Washington area for half a century now.

Like most schools, Our Lady of Victory relies heavily on fundraising to underwrite the increased costs of educating students. Over half of our students receive some sort of financial aid. OLV's annual auction is our most important fundraising event, and therefore essential to the financial welfare of the school.

Parent volunteers work very hard on the many tasks required to make this a successful event. Volunteers are needed to serve on the auction committee, solicit donations, sell advertisements, make baskets, to help the evening of the event. In addition to the proceeds from ticket sales, money raised from the silent and live auctions and from advertising in the auction program contribute greatly to making OLV's gala and auction a success.
